Using Onstead, your account, and your content. Last updated 8 September 2026.
The short version.Onstead helps you plan and follow through across everyday life. It remains in active development. It might break, lose data, or change without warning. Keep your own backups. Keep your account secure, use the service lawfully, and don’t treat its health features as medical care.
1. What Onstead is
Onstead is a personal planning and follow-through app for tasks, schedules, growth, relationships, and health, with additional planning tools on the web. Nathan Horowitz operates Onstead under the name Horowitz Labs. Feature availability differs between web, iOS, and Android, and native distribution may be restricted during testing.
2. Your account
- Web account creation does not require an invitation. Complete any email verification requested during signup.
- You are responsible for keeping your password to yourself.
- One person per account. Don’t share a login.
- You must be at least 16 to use Onstead.
3. Free features, Pro, and software availability
Most core features are free. Some advanced and AI features require Pro or have free usage limits. Available purchase options and any price, billing period, trial, or renewal terms are shown by the relevant store before purchase. Features will change, move, or disappear. Data loss is unlikely but possible. There is no uptime commitment and no support obligation. Use the JSON export in Settings and keep your own copy of anything you would be upset to lose.
4. Health features are not medical care
Onstead is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition, and nothing it shows you is medical advice.
- Training programs, calorie and macro targets, readiness scores, and circadian recommendations are estimates from general models applied to numbers you entered. They can be wrong.
- Blood panel explanations are educational context to help you ask better questions. They are not a reading of your results and must not be used to make a health decision.
- Onstead will never tell you to start, stop, or change a medication, and you should not ask it to.
- Talk to a qualified clinician before changing how you train, eat, supplement, or medicate: especially if you have any existing condition, or if something in your data looks concerning.
- If you think you have a medical emergency, contact emergency services. Do not use Onstead.
5. Your content
Everything you put into Onstead stays yours. You grant only the permission needed to operate the service: storing your data, displaying it back to you, and passing the relevant parts to the AI provider when you use an AI feature. No ownership transfers, and your content is never used to train a model by Onstead.
6. AI output
AI features are generated by a third-party model and can be confidently wrong. Check anything that matters before acting on it, particularly numbers, dates, health figures, and anything drawn from a web search. You are responsible for what you do with the output.
7. Acceptable use
Don’t use Onstead to:
- break the law, or help anyone else do so;
- store other people’s personal data without a lawful reason;
- research or profile people in ways that would harass, endanger, or discriminate against them: People features included;
- attack, overload, scrape, or reverse-engineer the service;
- resell or redistribute access.
Access can be revoked for any of the above, without notice.
8. Third-party services
Onstead runs on Supabase, Vercel, and OpenRouter, and uses Google’s Gemini models. Their availability and terms are outside its control. See the privacy policy for what gets sent where.
